Deck Rail Replacement

CFS-336
Weathered, damaged and rotting wood lead this client to have us replace her deck railing.

Our client had stated that the deck and railing are only about 5 years old. The wood has been damaged and rotting in several areas. Some places are missing pieces.

Most of the screws used during the original assembly are rusted and no longer keep the posts in place.

Multiple board alignments were off and the client had made several attempts over the years to save the wood using caulk and paint.

None of the wood was salvageable, and will end up making it's way to the dump.

My son and I started removing the old railing frames.

Assembling the new railing frames was a great bonding experience with him and I. This was his first time doing anything like this
so I was excited to help teach him some skills!

The client was very happy with the new railing and stated she will paint it.

We enjoyed helping this client out. The client paid for all the materials and
only $1 / hour in labor, saving her hundreds of dollars.
